Celtic Cross Pyrograph Test Piece

This is a test piece for a number of precision cut Celtic Crosses that the marvellous aldwarke has cut for me from high quality Baltic pine; ideal for pyrography.

This is only a test piece, so the pyrography is not especially high quality. It is a loosely based replica of Muiredach's High Cross with some knotwork added on the base where it was worn off the original.


Here is the initial cross shape by aldwarke and a photo of the original Muriedeach's High Cross. You will see from future uploads that the proportions and shape were modified and improved upon for the subsequent ones, but I used this initial test piece just to see how it burned. It burned perfectly as expected.
