Celtic Cross In Memoriam Tattoo Design

This is a one-off custom design. I was originally requested to design a Celtic Cross Pyrograph, but then asked to adjust the design to make it suitable for a tattoo.

It started as a Celtic Cross, but it progressed much further as the design process kicked in. It wanted it to be more, so I decided to combine two very old Irish symbols The Celtic Cross, and the Claddagh Ring into one design, to represent the eternal love for those who have crossed over to the other side. The angels hands become the hands of the Claddagh, and come out from beyond the veil to remind us that they have never truly left us.
